Kristen Johnston Poses Nude for PETA
Kristen Johnston poses as Lady Godiva to bring attention to the cruelty of horse-drawn carriages. For the full story, please read about this important issue: PETA // The Cruelty of Horse Drawn Carriages
There seems to be no end to young women that will bare all for PETA. It if it tastefully done, works as an advertising medium and raises awareness of animal cruelty, I have no problem with it. On the other hand, I find the hundreds of commercials for Girls Gone Wild and multiple products male enhancement that take over the airwaves after 11 pm much more offensive.
What is your opinion on using nudity to advertise? Does it matter if it is tastefully done? Does it make a difference if the ad is for a worthy cause rather than a product?

Marketing to Generation X
Gen X presents unprecedented challenges to marketers. The media they use is fragmented. They embrace a wider range of lifestyles than previous generations. And, weaned on MTV and cable television, they are largely immune to traditional advertising.Gen X is the second most important marketing demographic after Baby Boomers. There are 83.8 million Generation Xers in the USA. Generation X’s total income was $3.67 trillion in 2007, projected to grow to $4.2 trillion in 2017.

Thank a Veteran Today
Memorial Day honors service members who died in service to their country or as a result of injuries incurred during battle. Deceased veterans are also remembered on Veterans Day, but Veteran’s Day was set aside to thank and honor living veterans who serve or have served honorably in the military, in peace or in war.

On Veterans Day, special services take place at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers in Arlington National Cemetery.

Today, November 11, 2008, remember all veterans of all conflicts, whether standing proudly in your community, serving overseas in the Middle East, lying in Section 60 of Arlington National Cemetery, in the Fields of Flanders or inscribed in the Wall in Washington.
God Bless You. Thank You.
We Will Remember …

He Did It! We Did It! Obama is President!

I must say I feel glad to be an American tonight. The USA just elected our first Black President!
Spontaneous parties broke out all across the USA in celebration. Police had to close 6th Street in Austin, usually only done on Halloween. Many people massed on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House. Chicago, site of acceptance speech is going wild.
Obama lost his grandmother yesterday, day before election. A grievous blow, but nothing is stopping this man from becoming the next POTUS.
