I lost all my data when my laptop crashed last month. No excuse, I knew I should be backing up my data. I just did not do it and I had to pay someone to rescue my data from my hard drive. A simple solution would have been to subscribe to an Online Backup service.

Ok, this is going to sound really stupid, but please remember that I am totally not technically savvy, but I had no idea I should be backing up my data at all. Thanks for the info!
@stephanie-whether you do it yourself on a CD, DVD or flash drive, do it. I felt so disconnected when I lost my data.
I completely agree with you and I lost data once when my computer was reformatted. After, it was always like "DARN, I should've..." But it was too late.
Now I know to save/back up data...because I know what it's like to lose data!
Ibackup, Idrive, Pro Softnet corp or whatever they are calling themselves these days are *very* black hat. They’re notorious for email harversting, email spam, comment spam and pay-per-post so steer clear. Send an email or call (818.594.5972) CEO Raghu Kulkarni, Product Manager Naveen Athresh or “spokesman” Sreedhar Acharya and let them know that you disaprove of their tactics.
