Transformers? No, the new London 2012 Logo

From the website:
It will become London 2012’s visual icon, instantly recognisable amongst all age groups, all around the world. It will establish the character and identity of the London 2012 Games and what the Games will symbolise nationally and internationally.
Unfortunately, not everyone liked it:

Oops! The video that accompanies the artwork above has now reportedly had to be modified. Evidently, the flashing lights and fuzzy camera shots caused epileptic seizures.

From Where is My Jetpack? blog
An online petition against the logo that had well over 50,000 signatures has disappeared. A new petition in support of the logo has appeared. (under 300 signatures in 2 days.)

Not too excited about the logo myself, but if they decide to stick with it I'm sure it'll grow on people.

The organizers said it look modern.

Is that modern? It looks like a mosaic done by a 2 yr old kid.

@propolis-Something I just noticed is that it says 2012. I had to stand on my head and close one eye to see it. LOL
