Minor Issues that Matter

Two things bother me about the new Entrecard system.

First, replacing Thanks! with Go! Go! Go! and Alright! on the Entrecard widget bothers me. The Go! Go! Go! makes me anxious and I think the correct term in the latter case would be All Right!

Second, the image to the left makes me angry. Not only is it a knockoff of the Entrecard widget, being used by a real estate site, but it is misleading when placed on a blog. I believe this violates copyright laws. I hope they are taken down soon. I do not appreciate clicking and being led off site to some other place. I want to be in control of my computer and browser.

I totally agree with you; I also was mislead by that advertise and I find it on the most sites I visit. Lets hope someone will do something about it.

You are SO right. It's all right, not alright.

That ad! I could scream. I don't think an honest blogger would mislead their readers. I've been reporting blogs who have it in hopes Entrecard does something.

Uhh, this ad one is also on my black list. Stumbled already twice over it today. Well, now I know and will sure not click anymore but it gets me really angry.

I totally hate that ad. It got me a few times until I learned.

I agree. Go!Go! makes me want to leave the site, and I usually do... As for the ad - I rejected it when I got a request on Project Wonderful. I don't want to mislead people on my blog...

Yea, maybe we all need to do something to the site..form up a team to bring it down!

I was pissed off as well when I realized I clicked on the wrong thing

Hi!

Thanks for the warning on that ad. I just got caught by another one. They made their ad look like it had 2 drop buttons but only the bottom one was real. The one above it was a fake linking to another site.

Pretty crafty huh?

I agree, that one got me once. once. Shame on them. But not twice I tell you, not twice.

Agree 100 percent on this. It's low, and absolute garbage that people do this. I think, and I stand by my thought, that it is to drive the adsense impressions from that site up in order to try and reap some meager reward. Rather pathetic in my opinion, and I think the more people that boycott the people facilitating this, or report them to entrecard, the better.

I don't mind the terms, but if I see that ad, I just close the site. Maybe I shouldn't, but ARGH!

I like the little messages that show up when you are dropping. although they freaked me out at first, it lets me know where I am during dropping.
The widget that leads off...I agree with you. I don't like being mislead and someone needs to do something about it.
Thank you so much for your kind words in regards to my mom passing. It meant a lot to me. God bless.

Darn you and your fake entrecard widget picture...or I guess I should say darn them...this is the 3rd time i clicked on it instead of your real one!!!

The fact that someone is prepared to mislead like this is a sing of their business ethics, so why would you want to ever deal with them? I rejected their ad on my blog, which is what everyone else should do.

Yeah that ad made me mad also, they wanted ot put it on my Project Wonderful ad space and I chunked thier ad. I didn't want it taking away from my Entrecard spot.

I was wondering what the heck, when I was whisked away to another site. Grrr Some people always have to ruin a good thing.
