The lawsuit claims that approximately 160,000 unauthorized video clips, such as SpongeBob SquarePants and The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, which are the intellectual property of Viacom, have been viewed over 1.5 billion times on YouTube.
Viacom is also seeking an injunction to prevent further copyright infringement.

I have already noticed many clips on blogs and websites that are no longer available.

Thanks for the info! I bet I have some embedded videos that might be "questionable" somewhere on my blog.
Now I have to go hunt them down. :-(
You need to be careful. Just make sure that the item could not possibly be copyright material. A lot of trailers for movies and TV shows are allowed to be downloaded and embedded.
