Surveys and Market Research

I belong to several survey panels involved in market research. I am paid for some of the surveys completed; for others, I receive an entry into a sweepstakes, usually for a cash prize. I have tested products like shampoo, household items and coffee.

Is it worth the time I spend on the surveys? In terms of monetary rewards, no. In terms of insight into marketing trends, it is invaluable. One of the survey companies is affiliated with Synovate, sponsor of this post.
