Add Your Business to Google Maps for Free

Via Larry Chase's Web Digest for Marketers

Local business listings and advertisements are populating Google Maps in increasing numbers.

Get your local business listed for free as Google uses worldwide directory listings
to map the location and enter details for each business into a searchable map interface.

Running a text ad on Google Maps is as simple as logging into AdWords, creating your ad and
targeting based on location and type of business.

When Google Maps returns results, a listing of businesses that fit the search
term appears on the left-hand side of the page. The graphical map interface appears to the right.

You may also have noticed advertising populating Google Earth as well.

Heads up, y'all. Soon you will see people renting their roofs for advertising seen from above.
